Review Fix: What was the inspiration for your film?

Ann Hu: To be honest, I was processing a relationship that was going south.  This piece was originally written as a way to express my love for that person, but in hindsight, it was a reflection of my denial.  So, it is a very honest look at a relationship that is struggling to survive.

Review Fix: What was the most challenging part of making it?

Hu: Production wise, the shoot was re-scheduled 3 times.

Review Fix: How do you want it to be remembered?

Hu: I would love for it to be remembered as an experience, a feeling.

Review Fix: How does it feel to be a part of the festival?

Hu: I am ecstatic to be a part of this festival.  I love the Queens World Film Festival.  Not only are Don and Katha Cato the most sincere and lovable people on this planet, but their love for films, all kinds of films, is truly reflected in this festival.  It’s an honor to be part of the festival.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Hu: I’m currently in post-production for my sex comedy short “Cake.”  Eliza, a closeted bisexual woman, tries to explore her sexuality within her marriage with her husband Thomas by surprise ordering a seemingly human female sex robot. But the sexbot is not the cure-all she had hoped for.  Be careful what you wish for.
