NXT Power Rankings: Itami Returns, Roode and Joe Out To Carve Legacies

Awesome promo work from Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode and Oney Lorcan and a sweet heel turn from Asuka made for an interesting episode of NXT. Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see starred in a balanced and effective episode.

Honorable Mention: Ember Moon: The NXT Women’s Division continues to get new faces and Ember Moon certainly looks like one that can challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship. If you’ve seen her work in ROH and her Corkscrew Stunner finisher, you know she’s the real deal.

5: The Revival: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder’s win over TM 61 proves once again that they are the best tag team in NXT. With Gargano and Ciampa hungry for a shot at the titles, they’ll have to prove it again soon.

4: Asuka: It makes sense for her to be a heel, with those devilish eyes and stiff kicks. Her win over Aliyah this week on NXT makes that transformation a complete one and makes her an even better opponent for Bayley at NXT Takeover Brooklyn.

3: Hideo Itami: His return was an awesome one as Itami, in awesome shape, was athletic and charismatic in a solid win over the Cruiserweight Classic’s Sean Maluta. Now reinvigorated and back on track, Itami is definitely a contender for Samoa Joe’s NXT Championship.

2: Bobby Roode: He was cocky as hell in his first promo in NXT, but what’s not to love? A hell of a worker and a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Roode is destined for huge things in NXT.

1: Samoa Joe: You will not like him when he’s angry. Pissed off at William Regal and his decision to have him face Shinsuke Nakamura at NXT Takeover Brooklyn, Joe made his presence felt this week on NXT, taking out Chris Atkins and Mojo Rawley.
