GFW Coverage: Drake vs. Sydal on the Books

More Top Team nonsense almost ruined Impact, but the charisma of Johnny Impact, Eli Drake and the thought of a Matt Sydal title shot fixed things quickly.

Matches:

Fallah Bahh and Mario Bokara vs. oVe: Jack and Dave put on a clinic and got the win with the Doomsday Cutter.

Caleb Konley vs. Petey Williams: Trevor Lee played a role, but Williams got the win with the Canadian Destroyer.

Richard Justice vs. Kongo Kong: A squash that saw Kong get the win with the top rope Splash. After the match, Kong continued to beat on his opponent until Mahabali Shera put a stop to it.

James Storm vs. Low Ki w/Konnan, Diamante and the GFW Tag Team Champions Santana and Ortiz: Low Ki got the win with the Warrior’s Way after continued interference from LAX. In spite of some dominance, the guy never stood a chance.

Eli Drake and Chris Adonis vs. Johnny Impact and Eddie Edwards: Lots of offense, heel tactics and spots here. A nice story as the man who got the pinfall got a title shot, but if Adonis or Drake won, neither got a thing. So essentially it was a handicap match of sorts. After an Adonis Low Blow on Impact, Drake nailed him with the Gravy Train for the win.

After the match, Lashley and more of the Top Team drama as Lambert proclaimed Lashley as the best two-sport athlete ever. With Cornette in the ring, he announced Drake will defend his title next against Matt Sydal.
