WWE RAW Coverage: Balor Club Schools Jordan

With the Balor Club growing stronger, the continued rise of Braun Strowman and the thought of a Samoa Joe/John Cena match, this week’s RAW was a strong one that continues to build on the sturdy Royal Rumble foundation.

Matches:

Bayley and Sasha Banks w/Mickie James vs. Absolution: Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville w/Paige: Banks was beaten on the entire match thanks to quick tags from Rose and Deville, but the Boss got the tap-out win with the Bank Statement out of nowhere.

Matt Hardy vs. Curt Hawkins: Hardy got the squash win with the Side Effect/Twist of Fate combination. After the match, Bray Wyatt hit the ring and the two just laughed at each other into the break.

Cedric Alexander vs. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore: Alexander dominated and got the win, but it was via count-out after he took out Amore with a Dive to the outside.

The Bar: Cesaro and Sheamus vs. Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews w/Dana Brooke: Titus Worldwide got the surprise win with a Rollup after Sheamus missed the Brogue Kick on Crews on the apron and Cesaro was stuck on the outside.

Samoa Joe vs. Rhyno w/Heath Slater: Rhyno put up a fight, but Joe got the win with the Kokina Clutch.

Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins vs. The Balor Club: Finn Balor, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows: This match just felt really forced. It wasn’t because of any bad performances, it was just because the rivalry is still brewing. While The Club cut off the ring, Reigns surprised with a Tilt-a-Whirl Slam. However, Jordan’s inexperience allowed Rollins to get nailed with a Magic Killer and the Coup De Grace. After the match, The Miz, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel took out, Jordan and Rollins on the outside and finished off Reigns with the Skull Crushing Finale and then The Shield Triple Powerbomb in the middle of the ring.
