WWE RAW Coverage: Braun Wins Gauntlet, EC Teaser

A two-hour match and just enough teasing for Elimination Chamber made sure this was a solid week of RAW action.

Matches:

Elimination Chamber Gauntlet Match: Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins: A lengthy match that saw Reigns escape the Curb Stomp, but The Big Dog was ultimately pinned as Rollins countered a Rollup into one of his own.

Seth Rollins vs. John Cena: This was an amazing match. Rollins barely beat Reigns and Cena was all over him. Rollins, however, to his credit, fought hard and made Cena bring it every second of this match. Rollins eventually kicked out of the Attitude Adjustment and followed it up with a Superplex and a Falcon’s Arrow, but couldn’t put Cena away. Rollins then escaped an STF and a Super Attitude Adjustment and nearly put Cena away with his own finishing move. Cena then hit the AA, but then went for the maneuver again. That is what cost him the match as Rollins hit the Revolution Knee and the Curb Stomp for the win.

Seth Rollins vs. Elias Sampson: Rollins almost won several times with kicks and strikes, but Sampson picked up the win with the Big Boot and the Drift Away.

Elias Sampson vs. Finn Balor: This match was entirely too long. Everyone knew Balor was going to win and he didn’t disappoint, putting Sampson away with the Coup de Grace.

Finn Balor vs. Intercontinental Champion The Miz w/Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel: Interference from Dallas and Axel allowed Miz to get the win with the Skull-Crushing Finale.

Braun Strowman vs. Intercontinental Champion The Miz w/Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel: The Miz hung in there longer than expected, but Strowman got the win with the Running Powerslam after he kicked out of the Skull-Crushing Finale. After the match, Stroman hit Axel and Dallas with Running Powerslams, before he chased down Miz and hit him with the maneuver as well.

WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Apollo Crews and Titus O’Neil w/Dana Brooke: Another shocker as Crews and O’Neil won via Rollup.

Absolution: Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose w/Paige and WWE RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss,  and vs. Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Bayley: Banks got the win with the Bank Statement and Absolution attacked Bliss, but James made the save.
