WWE RAW Coverage: Deju Vu

This was just a long, drawn-out episode of RAW. It died a slow, painful death. The opening was awesome, as Shawn Michaels and Triple H reformed Degeneration X and there were a few other cool spots, with Trish Stratus and Lita and Paul Heyman, but this isn’t 2000. RAW needs a shakeup at this point, big time.

Matches:

Bobby Lashley w/Lio Rush vs. Kevin Owens: This was a statement match as Lashley won with the Dominator variation and then beat on Owens’ knee after the bell. Is this the beginning of a heel turn?

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, Brie and Nikki Bella vs. Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan: The Riott Squad were the better team, but after the Bellas took out Morgan and Logan, Rousey got the submission win over Riott w/ the Arm Bar. After the match, The Bellas went heel but Rousey was able to turn the tables for a second before the numbers game caught up to her.

Finn Balor and Bayley vs. Alicia Fox and Jinder Mahal w/Sunil Singh: Balor put Mahal away with the Coupe De Grace.

Global Battle Royal: Baron Corbin beat a slew of jobbers and it appeared he was primed to win the Battle Royal- until The Conquistador, AKA, a returning Kurt Angle nailed him with a slew of German Suplexes and won the match.

Ember Moon vs. Nia Jax: This was a stinker as Jax won via count-out.

The Ascension: Viktor and Konnor vs. Chad Gable and Bobby Roode: Gable got the win with the Rolling German Suplex, but the Authors of Pain hit the ring after the match and destroyed everyone.

Braun Strowman and WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler vs. The Shield: Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose: This was a lengthy encounter with a plethora of back and forth action. Strowman, of course, dominated and even yelled at his partners to pick it up. After carnage broke out outside the ring, McIntyre beat Ambrose with The Claymore. After the match, Ambrose walked out of the ring and left the rest of The Shield to end the show.
