NXT UK Coverage: Dropping Bombs

Tonight’s episode features the NXT UK in-ring debut of WALTER, NXT UK’s latest signee and all around badass. Now that Blackpool is firmly in the rear-view, it’s time to look towards the future, and what better way is there to do that than to announce the number one contenders for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships? Who will be the first tag team to try and dethrone the Grizzled Young Veterans, Zack Gibson, and James Drake?
Matches:
“Bomber” Dave Mastiff vs. “Primate” Jay Melrose: These two beasts slugged it out, but Primate paid for a botched attempt at a Fireman’s Carry. Bomber capitalized with a German Suplex and Into the Void to put him away.
Grizzled Young Veterans came down to the ring only to be interrupted by Sid Scala who announced that Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch would be their first challengers.
WALTER vs. Jack Starz: Walter almost slammed Starz through the canvas with a thunderous Powerbomb to win.
Jinny vs. Kasey Owens: Jinny planted Owens’ face into the second turnbuckle with a nasty Flatliner to gain the upper hand. Owen’s would lock the Fashionista into a Rope Hung Armbar, but Jinny would reply with a Makeover for the pinfall victory.
Moustache Mountain vs. Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel: Barthel displayed his technical expertise early until Bate was able to pick up the pace and tag in Trent Seven. After delivering some crisp offense, Aichner would eat a Seven Stars Lariat but would kick out at two and seven eighths. After several near falls from both teams, Moustache Mountain would pick up the much-needed win with a Rebound Lariat/ Snap Dragon Suplex combo.
