NXT UK Coverage: Jinny Time

Last Saturday NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool tore the house down. In true NXT fashion, there wasn’t a single weak match on the card. Grizzled Young Veterans became the first NXT UK Tag Team Champions, Toni Storm defeated Rhea Ripley for the Women’s Title, and Dunne retained his belt in an epic bout. And last but certainly not least, we got our first look at the Ring General, Walter.

Matches:

Ligero vs. Saxon Huxley: Huxley tossed Ligero around until the luchador was able to pick up the pace and hit the C4L, a Springboard DDT to pick up the win.

Isla Dawn vs. Jinny: Jinny had jumped Dawn a few weeks ago, so this was payback for the White Witch. The Fashionista was in control for most of the match, talking lots of trash in the process. Jinny picked up the win with the X Factor, a Facebuster from the middle rope.

Mark Andrews and “Flash” Morgan Webster vs. Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel: Aichner and Barthel dominated early until Webster got the hot tag onto Andrews. This bout became a back and forth slugfest with both teams firing their best shot. Eventually, the heels were able to keep the Modfather down for three with a Flying European Uppercut/ Powerbomb combo.
