Sy Smith Joins Impressive Roster Performing on the Long Sold-out Capital Jazz SuperCruise

Joining musical icons like Sheila E., Gregory Porter, Take 6 and Incognito, Sy Smith looks forward to taking the stage on Night 7 in the Star Lounge for two very special sets, “The Cruise is 8 days long, so I’m looking forward to catching some of the other performers and joining some of the other shows, like the funk tribute with the Wayne Bruce led house band! I’m also looking forward to performing my solo sets with musical director Dre King who’s been playing with me for a long time!”The Capital Jazz SuperCruise sets sail tomorrow, Jan 17 and will also feature performances from Teddy Riley, Babyface, Kenny Lattimore, The S.O.S. Band, Johnny Gi and Ralph Tresvant and many more. They’ll make stops in Labadee, Haiti, Roatan Island, Honduras, Cozumel and Belize.

This is Sy’s second time performing on this cruise (she made her Capital Jazz SuperCruise debut in 2010).Sy’s upcoming land performances include 2/8 at An Die Musik in Baltimore, 2/9-10 at Blues Alley in Washington, DC, 2/12 at The Renaissance Center in Dickson, TN, and 2/18 at Upstairs At Vitello’s in Los Angeles.
