NXT UK continues its white-hot streak with this week’s episode. One thing this roster has going for it is the number of good talkers, and several backstage promos showcased that. In the main event, Grizzled Young Veterans faced Kenny Williams and replacement partner Noam Dar. GYV, Williams, and Dar put on a clinic. This roster is so stacked, it’s a shame it only has one hour of television a week.
Matches:
Moustache Mountain: Tyler Bate and Trent Seven vs. The Hunt: Wild Boar and Primate: Both teams tore into each other but in the end, Moustache Mountain stood tall thanks to a Rebound Lariat/ Dragon Suplex combo.
Joe Coffey vs. “Flash†Morgan Webster: A hometown crowd was firmly behind Coffey in this bout. Webster went for a Swanton Bomb but Coffey got his knees up in time and capitalized with a Discuss Lariat to earn a spot in the Number One Contender’s Fatal Four Way match in four weeks.
Nina Samuels vs. Kasey Owens: Owens didn’t stand much of a chance in this one. Samuels put her away with a Ninagoroshi.
NXT UK Tag Team Champions: Grizzled Young Veterans: Zack Gibson and James Drake vs. Kenny Williams and Noam Dar: Williams and Dar jumped the champs before the bell. It was one hell of a match, and every competitor left looking like a million bucks. But in the end, Grizzled Young Vets retained with Helter Skelter and a 450.
