There were some entertaining segments of RAW this week, but this was not the way the show needed to rebounded after AEW’s Double or Nothing. They needed something insane. And they absolutely failed to produce that.
Matches:
Shane McMahon w/ Drew McIntyre vs. Lance Anoa’i: A glorified squash match, where McMahon won with the Triangle Choke and then talked more smack about Roman Reigns. Reigns eventually hit the ring and took out McMahon, but McIntyre pulled him out of the ring before any serious damage was done and the two were able to escape.
Becky Lynch and Nikki Cross vs. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: The IIconics: Peyton Royce and Billie Kay: Lynch and Cross won in a sloppy mess of a match. Afterward, Lacey Evan and Lynch beat on each other.
Ricochet vs. Cesaro: Excellent match. Exactly what this RAW needed. Anyone could have won, but Ricochet won with the Churricanrana and Inside Cradle.
Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match: Winner gets Universal Title Show at Super Showdown: Braun Strowman vs. The Miz vs. Baron Corbin vs. Bobby Lashley: A disaster- WWE officials ruled Strowman and Lashley eliminated themselves by fighting outside the ring, leaving The Miz and Corbin left. The Miz was tough, but Corbin won with The End of Days.
Sami Zayn vs. Universal Champion Seth Rollins: This was the best match on RAW this year. Tons of counters, strikes, near-falls. This match had it all. Zayn was on his game and proved his recent fall was nothing. He’s a main eventer. However, after Zayn got back in the ring, Rollins hit the Curb Stomp twice for the win.

Hickey is also the lead voiceover performer on Mega Cat Studios’ upcoming title WrestleQuest, responsible for nearly 90 characters in the game, as well as Skybound's Renfield: Bring Your Own Blood, where he voices both Dracula and Renfield, as well as several other characters. He also stars in Ziggurat Interactive’s World Championship Boxing Manager 2, where he performs the VO of nearly every male character in the game. He also worked on the Atari VCS’s BPM Boy.
