WWE RAW Coverage: Bayley Goes Heel

Away from a shocking end to a RAW that saw Bayley go full heel and take out Becky Lynch with Sasha Banks, the rest of the show was passable. Starting a show with your World Champion in the ring is usually a sign of a weak card and this week’s RAW proved that theory correct-a-mundo once again.

Matches:

WWE RAW Tag Team Champions: Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson w/United States Champion AJ Styles: A fun opener with plenty of drama beforehand, but one that left little to sizzle about. After Styles got taken out of the match by Rollins, The Universal Champion Rolled Up Anderson for the win. By the end of it all however, Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler join the fray and help the OC beat on the champs.

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode vs. Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins: Roode gets the win with the Glorious DDT in a clear, but tough, enhancement match.

Lacey Evans vs. Natalya Neidhart: Even matchup until Evans hit the Cheapshot and follows it up with the Woman’s Right.

King of the Ring Quarterfinal Match: Baron Corbin vs. Cedric Alexander: Corbin got the win with The End of Days, but Alexander did everything but win.

King of the Ring Quarterfinal Match: Ricochet vs. Samoa Joe: These guys beat the hell out of each other and after they both came off the top rope with Joe positioned over Ricochet in the Kokina Clutch, the match apparently ended in a double pin-fall. After the bell, Samoa Joe beat on Ricochet outside the ring, but The Man and Only evened the odds to end the segment. Later on, it was revealed that both Ricochet and Joe advanced and will face Corbin in a Triple Threat Match.

The Miz vs. Cesaro: The Swedish Cyborg dominated, but The Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale out of nowhere for the win.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley: This got thrown out after Sasha Banks nailed Becky Lynch with the Bank Statement. After the DQ, Bayley nailed Lynch with a chair a few times as well.
