AEW Dark Results: Lengthy

Dark was a long one this week at an hour and a half. The nine inconsequential matches began to drag, though there were a few highlights worth tuning in for.

Matches:

“The Real Mean Girl” Dani Jordyn vs. Hikaru Shida: Shida planted Jordyn with a Michinoku Driver for a pinfall victory and momentum heading into Double or Nothing on Saturday.

Clutch Adams vs. QT Marshall: Marshall found a standing Cutter to put Adams down for a much-needed win.

Jason Cade vs. Marko Stunt: As usual, Stunt took a beating. But the kid fired up was able to hit a 450 Splash to pick up his first singles victory in AEW.

Musa and Lee Johnson vs. Jimmy Havoc and “Superbad” Kip Sabian w/ Penelope Ford: Havoc took Johnson’s head off with an Acid Rainmaker and followed up with a Fisherman’s DDT to earn his team the victory.

“The Captain” Shawn Dean vs. Rey Fenix: The Captain is prime material for an AEW-made wrestler but Fenix was too much to handle. Fenix hit a modified sit-out Musclebuster Driver to put the Chicago native down for the count.

Jon Cruz vs. “The Original Death Dealer” Luther: Luther put his sadistic tendencies on full display with a modified Camel Clutch to force Cruz to tap out.

Ryan Rembrandt and Mike Reed vs. Private Party: Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen: Despite a little miscommunication, Private Party still got the win when Kassidy hit Rembrandt with a Swanton Bomb.

Alan Angels vs. Sammy Guevara: Guevara put Angel’s lights out with his version of the Feast Your Eyes he calls the GTH or the Go To Hospital.

Serpentico vs. Darby Allin: Serpentico gave the relentless one all he could handle but handle it he did. Allin locked the Luchadore in the Last Supper pinning combination to pick up a win.
