WWE RAW Coverage: RKO Out of Nowhere

A beefy card did little to elevate the Red Brand this week. Little in terms of storyline building hurt the show- one that had some of its best in-ring action in months.

Matches:

Guitar on a Pole Match: Elias vs. Jeff Hardy: After a Twist of Fate, Hardy nailed Elias with the guitar for the win.

Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke vs. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler: Lana got involved and turned this into disaster, allowing Baszler to win with the Kurifuda Clutch.

24/7 Champion R-Truth vs. United States Champion Bobby Lashley: R-Truth tried hard, but Lashley put him away with The Hurt Lock. After the match, Drew Gulak tried to sneak in and claim the 24/7 Title, but Lashley eliminated him as well and threw his lifeless body on Truth, allowing him to win the 24/7 Title.

Tripe Threat: Keith Lee vs. Braun Strowman vs. Sheamus: A war that saw Strowman beat Sheamus with the Running Powerslam after Big Red took out Lee with the Brogue Kick. With the win, Strowman is now a part of Team RAW for Survivor Series.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Nia Jax w/Shayna Baszler vs. Lana: Jax toyed with her food before she won with the Samoan Drop. After the match, Jax put Lana through the Announce Table, again.

RAW Tag Team Champions: The New Day: Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods vs. The Hurt Business: Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin w/MVP and United States Champion Bobby Lashley: Benjamin won with Pay Dirt in an excellent back and forth that is definitely just the beginning of a new program.

Ricochet vs. Tucker Knight: Ricochet quickly won with Recoil as Mustafa Ali and Retribution beat up both Ricochet and Knight.

Drew McIntyre vs. John Morrison and The Miz: McIntyre won with a Claymore on Miz, but he had to earn it, kicking out of the best Morrison and Miz had. After the match however, Randy Orton snuck in a nailed McIntyre with an RKO.
