dexter_wall_03_1280x1024With the season coming to its climax, episode 11, entitled “Hello, Dexter Morgan” answers many questions but teasingly avoids others, saving them for the season finale next week.

Dexter, played by Michael C. Hall, is a busy man these days, playing many different people within the realm of his life. Is he Kyle Butler, the alias that he uses in front of Trinity? Dexter Morgan, husband, father and blood splat analyst for Miami Metro? Or is he a serial killer? Dexter himself believes that he is all of those people.

Episode 11 shows Dexter on the run, trying cover up the true identity of the Trinity killer. If Arthur is arrested, that would ruin Dexter’s urge and his ability to kill him. On top of everything, it would also expose the secret life that Dexter has been living all along.

Dexter must take extravagant measures to buy himself time to deal with Trinity on his own terms. However, whenever Dexter attempts to kill Trinity, there’s some frustrating scenario that seems to happen and the plan goes awry.

This episode has several shocking and nail-biting moments, one of which involves Christine, who opens up to Debra and confesses her actions, then commits a shocking act that will leave you stunned. Rita finally tells Dexter about her Thanksgiving situation involving their neighbor – Dexter does not seem to care at first, but then he thrashes him around and warns him to stay away from Rita.

Arthur does some investigating of his own when he becomes curious about why Dexter did not call the cops after the child abduction. Trinity then digs deeper and follows Dexter to his job, where he finds out who Kyle Butler really is.

A chilling scene was when Trinity and Dexter are face to face. Trinity picks up Dexter’s nametag and says “Hello, Dexter Morgan,” setting up what should be a delicious finale.

Overall, episode 11 was thrilling, keeping you on the edge of your seat and anxiously awaiting every secret to be uncovered.

I grew up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, the same neighborhood many of the best mafia films of our day were based on, idolizing guys like Robert Deniro, Martin Scorsese and Al Pacino. I'm also a big sports fan and follow the New York Yankees immensely.
