Steve Janowsky-The Review Fix Rocktologist- Episode Five: Rudy Sarzo

Rudy Sarzo is an accomplished rock and roll bass player who has been a part of some of the greatest recorded music and live performances in classic rock history. His track record reads like a who’s who of rock with stints in Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne’s “Blizzard of Ozz” touring band, Whitesnake, Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force, Dio and his current “gig” as bassist for Blue Oyster Cult. If that isn’t enough, Sarzo is a computer digital animator, has his own line of Peavey basses and an instructional bass DVD.

Reviewfix.com recently interviewed Sarzo, whose book “Off The Rails- Aboard the Crazy Train in the Blizzard of Ozz” takes readers on a frenzied journey with Ozzy Osbourne and late guitar wizard Randy Rhoads, who the book is dedicated to. He touches on a wide range of subjects including life on the road, his formative years in Florida as a Cuban immigrant, his impressions of Randy Rhoads, David Coverdale, Ronnie James Dio, guitarist Tony MacAlpine and Osbourne, the “Prince of Darkness” himself. Get ready for the ride of your life aboard the “Crazy Train.”
