Steve Janowsky: The Review Fix Rocktologist: Marc Bonilla Interview
Marc Bonilla is an in demand guitarist who is comfortable in a band situation (Keith Emerson, David Coverdale and Eddie Jobson), with television work (ER, West Wing and Justified), film soundtracks (Spiderman 2, Bruce Almighty and Iron Man 2) and solo work (EE ticket and American Matador). This consummate musician spoke to Reviewfix.com from his home in California and touched on his upcoming recording projects (CTA and Keith Emerson Band), mentor Ronnie Montrose, Gibson Firebird guitars and his future collaboration with the Mongolian Symphony Orchestra on September 27. It is a fascinating listen.

Steve Janowsky is a former co-host of the Rocktologists theme based classic rock show radio show on WKRB 90.3 fm, which was voted the best classic rock podcast in the country by Dave White of About.com. Some of the interview guests on the show were Simon Kirke ( Free and Bad Company), Carl Palmer (ELP), Vince Martell (Vanilla Fudge), Randy Jackson (Zebra) and Frank Marino of Mahogany Rush. Janowsky is also an English and Journalism instructor at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, NY and is an avid guitar player and songwriter.

Steve, another killer interview!!! Marc Bonilla comes across as a very thoughtful person. He made a very good point that a soundtrack composer does not need to be a virtuoso. Your questions elicited some great insights into the processes of composing and performing music!!! Let’s hope that he tours again with Keith!
