NXT Power Rankings: Thank You ‘Boss’

Appearances by Adam Rose and Tyson Kidd continued to bog down the flow of NXT, while filler matches and the surprising re-showing of Tyler Breeze’s music video killed this week’s NXT before it could thrive.

If not for Sasha Banks, this would have been a forgettable show altogether.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to hear about the several missed opportunities on another lackluster episode of NXT.

Honorable Mention: The Vaudavillians: A great entrance, vivid personalities and some heel tactics make the team of Aiden English and Simon Gotch a clear alternative to the powerhouse team of Viktor and Konnor, the NXT Tag Team Champions, The Ascension. Their win over Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore make them obvious number one contenders. So when’s the match?

5: CJ Parker: Eh is the word for Parker. Sure, he’s the aggressor right now in his angle with Xavier Woods, but he hasn’t had a decent match yet. His finisher is a mess and can’t work the crowd. He has a great look, but needs to step it up before he can be taken seriously.

4: Jason Jordan: Even in the loss to Adam Rose, Jordan showed poise and that he was being held back tremendously. A great athlete, he needs to get a few wins under his belt where he can show the NXT universe his entire arsenal of moves.

3: Tyler Breeze: Alright, Breeze is a fun heel, but why show his video again? Pure filler. Simply put, Breeze needs to be in the ring. His angle with NXT Champion Adrian Neville has zero steam right now and sadly, that’s not Breeze’s fault at all.

2: Sasha Banks: Her win over Alexa Bliss this week was awesome as she debuted a damn good finisher combination. A talented worker with plenty of talent in the ring and on the mic, the creative team at NXT would be smart to finally but Banks in the ring with NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.

1: Sami Zayn: No one is perhaps being held back more in NXT than Zayn, who has already proven he can hang with Adrian Neville, Tyson Kidd and Antonio Cesaro. This feud with Kidd is a pointless one. He needs to get to the WWE already.
