terraNOVA Collective Now Accepting Submissions for their 2014 – 2015 Groudbreakers Playwrights Group

terraNOVA Collective is now accepting online submissions for the 2014-15 Groundbreakers Playwright Group. The Groundbreakers Playwrights Group will run from September 2014 – February 2015.

Now in its 6th year, terraNOVA’s Groundbreakers Playwrights Group is a playwriting intensive that gathers six innovative voices in a room once a week for eighteen weeks to work on each individual writer’s play. Each writer receives three opportunities to bring their play to the group to be read by professional actors and receive feedback from the writers group and terraNOVA’s artistic staff, with the third reading in front of an invited audience.

“We are looking forward to receiving applications for our 6th season of the Groundbreakers Playwrights Group,” said terraNOVA’s Associate Artistic Director Jessi D. Hill. “Each year we treasure the opportunity to cultivate relationships with talented playwrights, and give them the creative and additional support they need to develop and showcase their innovative new plays.”

All submissions are due by Monday, August 11th. terraNOVA will hold final interviews September 14th – 16th with notifications going out on September 19th. The sessions run Monday nights starting September 29th 2014 and ends on February 16th, 2015 with a break for holidays. Applications are available at www.terranovacollective.org
