Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: Dixie Done, Joe New King of X-Division

New York City loves Impact Wrestling. The energy over the last few weeks has been a huge jolt to the fledgling company and this past week was no different.

Check out this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see who got crowned the new X-Dicision Champion and what TNA star came through on a big time promise.

Honorable Mention: Bram: Not many people walk away from Abyss in a Monster’s Ball matchup, but that’s exactly what the wily Brit did this past week on Impact. Although he’s still rough around the edges and needs another power move to refine his move set, the former NXT star is coming along nicely in TNA alongside former Impact Wrestling Champion Magnus.

5: Bobby Roode: He wants a title shot. As the longest-reigning TNA Champion of all time, he certainly deserves one. With Jeff Hardy and Eric Young not able to beat Lashley and Roode beating Kenny King and MVP, he’s due a shot. The fans in New York City loved his promo this week, but bottom line, it was nothing special as it just served as a way to hype him up to the crowd. The bottom line however is that between Lashley’s strength and Roode’s technical ability and these two can have a great match.

4: Dixie Carter: Although she went through a table and her faction is at its lowest point, she played the her incredibly well over the last few weeks and made us care about her. That’s no easy task considering how miserably most of the other angles she’s been involved in have gone down. To see the entire TNA roster play a role in that process was memorable TV.

3: Gail Kim: The best female worker in Impact Wrestling, Kim is a well-deserved Knockouts Champion. Her choice to defend the title against former champions Velvet Sky and Angelina Love, as well as rival, Taryn Terrell, makes her the fighting champion the company needs. At the apex of her career, Kim cannot be beat right now. Will that change in a Fatal-Four way match?

2: Samoa Joe: The new X-Division Champion, Joe has finally rebounded after what felt like years in isolation. Sure, he’d get a push every so often, but now with that title around his waist, the X-Division is finally in a situation to feature matches that people care about. Nothing against Austin Aries, who used the title to get a World title shot, or Senada, who couldn’t get over with fans, but Joe is cut from a different cloth.

1: Bully Ray: He put Carter through a table and the crowd loved it. What’s next for him now though? Could it be a match with King Mo?
