NXT Coverage: All About the Finish

This week’s Main Event on NXt was easily one of the best in the brand’s history, but the finish broke your heart. Tyler Breeze did everything right for weeks and deserved so much more than to see his title shot thrown away thanks to Tyson Kidd. Regardless, Breeze is not a legit contented for the NXT title and Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn are in the mix as well.

The first solid show for the brand in week’s, it was definitely a step in the right direction.

Matches:

NXT Tag Team #1 Contender’s Tournament: Bull Dempsey and Mojo Rawley vs. The Vaudevillains, Simon Gotch and Aiden English: Miscommunication between Dempsey and Rawley led to Gotch nailing Rawley with his Rolling Senton Slam, allowing English to finish him off with the beautiful second rope Senton for the win. After the match, Dempsey beat on Rawley until he got a “Thank You, Bull” chant from the crowd. After that, he hit Rawley with the Bulldozer.

#1 Contenders Match for NXT Women’s Title: Bayley vs. Sasha Banks: Banks gets extra marks for using the Goku-Raku Gatame and her Cross-Face variation, but Bayley countered the final submission into a pinning combination for the surprise win.

NXT Tag Team #1 Contender’s Tournament: Sin Cara and Kalisto vs. Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake: Murphy and Blake did nothing but sell high-flying moves for their luchador opponents. Kalisto won with the Ultimo Dragon Reverse DDT Pinning Combination.

NXT Champion Adrian Neville vs. Tyler Breeze: Neville was in pure beast mode throughout the match, landing strikes at will. He was pissed. Breeze was never too far out of the match however and a Dropkick from the top rope gave him some late momentum. Both exhausted, the last flurry of the match was awesome. This was simply one of the best NXT matches with pure NXT stars all of 2014. After Neville hilt a Top_Rope Powerbomb, he appeared ready to go for the Red Arrow, but Breeze rolled away so Neville couldn’t attempt the move. A few seconds later, Breeze hit one of the prettiest Tornado DDts in NXT history, but couldn’t get the win. A German Suplex later and Neville still couldn’t pin Breeze.

After Neville took out Breeze on the outside, Neville Super Kicked Tyson Kidd, who was snooping around ringside. Just when Neville went for the Red Arrow, Kidd interfered to get the match thrown out. After the bell, Breeze attacked Kidd, and the two went back and forth. Once Neville got up, he joined the fight as well, before both Kidd and Breeze took out Neville before Sami Zayn joined the fight to support Neville.
