Summerslam Power Rankings: Cena Goes to Germany and Back as Lesnar Wins Title

16 German Suplexes and three F-5s earned Brock Lesnar the WWE World Heavyweight title at Summerslam, but with a new Divas Champion in Paige and a new Intercontinental Champion in Dolph Ziggler.

Check out our Summerslam Power Rankings to see who else made it out of the WWE’s signature Summer pay per view with the most to brag about.

Honorable Mention: Alexander Rusev: The biggest win of his career thus far, Rusev gained even more heat with fans with his submission victory over Jack Swagger at Summerslam. Primed for a run at the United States title, Rusev continues to make strides in the ring every time he steps in, although his botched Spinning Wheel Kick during his match with Swagger certainly gives his detractors more fuel for their fire.

5: Paige: Her win over AJ Lee for the Divas title at Summerslam comes two months after many thought she had fallen out of WWE Creative’s favor. With an amazing new finisher, the title and the perfect blend of attitude, Paige is on top of the Divas division. But with an even more polished Lee gunning for her spot, the division hasn’t been this strong in years.

4: Bray Wyatt: After months of high-profile losses and awesome promos, Wyatt finally delivered at Summerslam with a win over former WWE Champion Chris Jericho. With a much-need notch on his belt, Wyatt now looks for a new mega star to help him move up the card. Now if only Luke Harper

3: Dolph Ziggler: If any one was due a title run, of any kind, it was Ziggler. Winning the Intercontinental Title for the second time in his career, Ziggler appears primed to bring serious legitimacy back to a title that has fallen out of relevancy over the past few years.

2: Roman Reigns: A clean win over Randy Orton at Summerslam solidifies Reigns current push and makes him a legitimate WWE World Heavyweight Champion contender. With Orton out of way, who’s the next mega heel to step into Reign’s path?

1: Brock Lesnar: An exhibition of pure strength and technique, Lesnar delivered over 15 German Suplexes and toyed with WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena and easily won a title he hasn’t worn around his waist in a decade. The Lesnar era has begun.
