IDW GAMES SET TO ADAPT POWERS INTO A SERIES OF TABLETOP GAMES

IDW Games is on the case! Get ready to hunt down the city’s super-powered serial killers in a new line of tabletop games based off the Powers graphic novels. Powers, by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, is an Eisner Award winning superhero noir series that was recently adapted for television by PlayStation network. The Powers game line will include card, board, and dice games each focusing on different situations and characters from the series.

“We are thrilled to be teaming up with our friends at IDW. We have been very careful about how we merchandise Powers… only teaming up with the very best.” says Brian Michael Bendis. “And for these games, which are easily our most requested items, IDW is the perfect place.”

The first Powers game will be a small box game where players will take on the role of investigators hunting down super-powered criminals, or “powers.” In the game, players will be working together to track and hopefully capture a player-controlled super villain before time runs out. The game will feature an array of criminals pulled from the comic series, each with their own special abilities and rules. Throughout the course of play, players will not only have to determine how to catch their prey, but who exactly they’re hunting before they escape into the night for good.

“Powers has a lot of opportunity for game play,” says Michael Avon Oeming. “IDW is going to create something for new and old fans alike.”

Look for Powers: The Card Game to hit stores in early 2016. In the meantime IDW Games will unveil more details about both the card and upcoming big box tabletop game on www.idwgames.com. And, for up-to-the-minute info be sure to “like” facebook.com/idwgames and follow @idwgames on twitter.
