Review Fix Exclusive 2016 NYCC Coverage: Crunchyroll New York Comic Con Panel Recap

Anime streaming service “Crunchyroll” has made some huge announcements at their panel at this year’s “New York Comic Con.” There was enough to make any anime fan jump out of their seat and cheer.

The first major announcement and the biggest is artist, writer, director, producer LeSean Thomas, famous for “The Boondocks,” “Legend of Korra” and “Black Dynamite,” has announced a new project called “Children of Ether” which will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll.com. As of now, no information is available except for some artwork and the title.

“Crunchyroll” has also announced that they have partnered with “Funimation,” one of the largest and most beloved anime companies in America, to stream dubbed and subbed episodes of “Funimation’s” library on “Crunchyroll.” For many anime fans, this is a dream come true since now this means that the number of anime coming to America will be bigger.

Another big announcement was “Crunchyroll” is now part of the “VRV” network of channels which is also home to “Funimation,” “Rooster Teeth” and “Nerdist.”

“Crunchyroll” has announced that they are finally going to be streaming episodes of the hit anime “Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.”

Other announcements were their fall season line up. This includes “Izetta: The Last Witch,” “Bungo Stray Dogs Season 2,” “Yuri on Ice,” “Magical Girl Raising Project,” “Nanbaka” and “Drifters.” All shows streaming now.

“Funimation,” “VRV” and “Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood” will get anime fan excited about “Crunchyroll” this year. The early artwork for “Children of Ether” does make the show seem promising.
