Mick Wall is one of England’s most respected and groundbreaking journalists and authors. He began his career writing for “Sounds,†a weekly, at the age of 19, was a public relations representative for Dire Straits, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy and Journey in 1979 and Virgin Press Officer in 1981.
In the next phase of his career Wall was a major contributor to Kerrang magazine, a Heavy Metal publication, for a period of eight years helping to make it an important read in the music world. He then started writing rock biographies which have included, “ Ozzy- Osbourne-Diary of a Madman,â€(1986), “The Most Dangerous Band in the World,†which tells the Guns and Roses story in all its glory, “Bono:In the Name of Love,†“XS All Areas: the Autobiography of Status Quo†and host of others (See Mick Wall’s website).He also was regular contributor to Mojo magazine and launched one of the music world’s treasures, Classic Rock magazine, where his later column “War Stories†was a must read.
Wall has also done documentary television work for the B.B.C. and in 2007 wrote a hard-hitting unauthorized biography of W.Axl Rose, “W.A.R.†Wall also writes for a slew of newspapers and magazines across the world. His most recent book is his highly acclaimed “When Giants Walked the Earth,†the definitive Led Zeppelin biography.
