New York, New York – The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences recently announced the 62nd Annual Emmy® Award nominations, selecting the EPIX original documentary BELIEVE: The Eddie Izzard Story in the outstanding nonfiction special category.
BELIEVE: The Eddie Izzard Story was written, produced and directed by Sarah Townsend, who has produced theater and stage shows, award winning short films, features and documentaries. British actor and comedian Eddie Izzard is well known for his unique and surreal comedic style. His work includes award-winning stand-up comedy specials, a starring role in the television series The Riches, numerous motion pictures and acclaimed Broadway performances including his current run in David Mamet’s Race. His latest special, Eddie Izzard: Live from Wembley and the documentary BELIEVE: The Eddie Izzard Story premiered on EPIX in January 2010.
