Originally born and raised in Grand Island, New York, Stacy Clark is an American singer-songwriter that has been in the spotlight since she was four years old. Though she was primarily known for her dancing talent, she was gradually able to teach herself guitar and perform her genre of indie/acoustic/rock.
Clark has the ability to sing and play guitar, bass and piano. For someone her age, it honestly can’t get any better than that.
Currently signed to Vanguard Records, she has produced three solid EPs and two full length albums. In addition, Clark was also able to donate her skills of singing through guest vocals. Because of this, she has worked with Jack’s Mannequin, Mikoto, Ivan Ives, The Seams, Delux and At As If.
Allowing her popularity to increase, a few of Clark’s tracks can be heard on television programs such as The Buried Life, One Tree Hill and My Super Sweet Sixteen.
Recently released on August 10, 2010, “Connect The Dots” is Clark’s newest album.
This particular CD of hers gathers up all of the emotions she has towards love and relationships. The style that she shows throughout every song is highly consistent and sharp.
“Whites Lies” is one of Clark’s well-known tracks that comes off of “Connect The Dots.”
Though it might be just under three minutes long, “White Lies” contains quite the cute aura. Clark’s voice is soft, but is still able to send a meaningful message to those who are willing to listen.
She speaks about an experience that a majority of people tend to go through; being lied to, but finding out before it happens. Clark explains how she’ll no longer be a fool for such things.
During the entire tune, funky piano chords provide the song with liveliness. Along with the piano, cheerful guitar and bass riffs are constantly being played.
“Whites Lies” easily demonstrates Clark’s poppy side along with her many instrumental talents.
Phenomenally enough, she is able to create a song about liars, but she manages to do it in the most carefree way possible.
