“Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” – Bob Dylan

Originally released in 1962 “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” is classic Bob Dylan. It’s just him, his guitar and the most intimate and profound of lyrics. Currently it’s on the newly available album entitled The Bootleg Series Volume 9: The Witmark Demos 1962-1962. This is your chance to get some prolific music now. Re-mastered the audio is so stunningly clear that you can actually understand what Dylan is singing. Definitely check this out.

“Riley” – The Corin Tucker Band

At first The Corin Tucker Band’s song “Riley” sounds like a chaotic, cacophony of noise. But stay with it. It has an interesting punk sound that will grow on you.

“Stay Around a Little Longer” – Buddy Guy featuring B.B. King

Seriously it’s Buddy Guy and B.B. King. Why are you reading this, you should have downloaded it already. Guy and King are the blues and their guitar playing is a pleasure to listen to. Together they get right to your soul and to have “Stay Around a Little Longer” for free is a gift from the musical gods. So download it – now.

“World Gone Crazy” – The Doobie Brothers

It’s one of those freebie weeks where the-powers-that-be decided to open the vaults and let the good music run wild. “World Gone Crazy” is classis Doobie Brothers. It has great harmonies, a memorable chorus and a beat that will happily be in your head all day long. From their album released this year of the same title “World Gone Crazy” will be sure to introduce a new audience to this iconic band that’s been rocking for decades. No synthesizers here, just straight up rock and roll with some blues thrown in. Get it.

“Best Song Ever” – Katie Armiger

“Best Song Ever” by Katie Armiger is no boast. It’s a great track to rock out to. With a mature sound Armiger is above the Swifts and the Bieber’s currently saturating the airwaves. A pleasant surprise.

“I Walked” – Sufjan Stevens

The long intro to “I Walked” is a turn-off and the song goes downhill from there. Stevens is self-indulgent in his self-pity. No the wonder his protagonist was left without so much as a “kiss goodbye” – he’s just to whiny to stay around. Skip this.

“Arena” – Suuns

You spend five minutes trying to figure out when the song is going to start and then it’s over. If you’re patient enough for the last twelve seconds of this track then go for it. Otherwise don’t bother.
