Save the Last Stab

After getting caught in the middle of a kill by a mysterious woman who has been kept hostage for a while, Dexter must find out who she is, and keep her from going to the police.

This episode was extremely fast paced, and thrilling. Dexter does some investigating on this mysterious woman and finds out her name which is Lumen Ann Pierce played by Julia Stiles [“Save the Last Dance”] and that she has a family who misses her and wants her home. Dexter found Lumen all cut up, bruised, and raped. He insists that he is only trying to help her, and does not want to do any harm, but she insists and makes things very difficult by struggling to get free.

When Lumen eventually escapes, during an intense chase scene, catches her and convinces her that he wants to help her. He then develops a friendly relationship with her, and she ends up trusting him.

Debra and the Miami Metro PD have a lead on the beheading murders, no thanks to Dexter, who came to the crime scene and discovered a clue in the blood that would lead them to the killer. When Debra encounters the killer, he quickly gets away, leaving her upset knowing that she almost had him.

This episode was exciting to say the least, and it kept you on the edge of your seat. Dexter, wanting to help Lumen, discovers that she was raped by his latest victim, but there were others that were involved.

By the end of the episode, Dexter is left shocked as the screen went to black. He has left himself with a choice, either walk away, or help Lumen, and get rid of the people who are responsible for what they did to her.

The choice is his. Let’s just see how far he is willing to go to protect a new friend.

At the site, I'm a music, television and graphic novel kind of guy and that's what I'll be writing for the most part. Expect some book and music reviews as well though [insert demon horns here]. I grew up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, the same neighborhood many of the best mafia films of our day were based on, idolizing guys like Robert Deniro, Martin Scorsese and Al Pacino. I'm also a big sports fan and follow the New York Yankees immensely.
