Marc Kudisch in Concert: The Lower Depths: In Defense of the Baritone Voice

SATURDAY, JANUARY 15th AT 8 PM AT THE TOWN HALL

New York: Continuing the Siegel Season at Town Hall, three-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch will take center stage for his solo debut this January15th, in a concert entitled The Lower Depths: In Defense of the Baritone Voice.

Heralded as the closest “we get today to a dashing leading-man from the golden age of musical theater” by Newsday and consistently praised by the New York Times, Mr. Kudisch is as renowned for his magnetism on stage as much as he is for his powerful baritone. Don’t miss this unique concert in which Mr. Kudisch stands tall in defense of the baritone voice, giving its remarkable history from opera through Elvis and from Bing to Broadway. The show is both a witty treatise and a musical treat. The show will be performed with musical director Randy Redd at the piano.

Marc Kudisch’s theater credits include: Beauty and the Beast, High Society, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Wild Party, Bells are Ringing, Thoroughly Modern Millie, A Little Night Music, Assassins, The Highest Yellow, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. His role as Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie earned him Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle nominations. As the Proprietor in the Tony-winning revival of Assassins, he earned his second Drama Desk nomination, and earned second Tony and Outer Critics Circle nominations for his performance as Baron Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. His performance in 9 to 5 brought him yet another (his third) Drama Desk and Tony nomination.
