April 13, 2011 (New York, NY)- TromaDance Co-Director Jonathan Lees has unveiled the poster for the 12th Annual TromaDance Film Festival (April 22-23, Asbury Park, New Jersey). The 12th Annual TromaDance Film Festival will feature films including Drew Bolduc’s The Taint, Joshua Grannell’s All About Evil, and the East Coast premiere of Miguel Angel Vivas’ Kidnapped (courtesy of IFC Films). TromaDance will also include films from Oscar nominated animator Bill Plympton as well as a panel including Plympton, Fangoria Managing Editor Michael Gingold, animator John Goras, and New York Film Commissioner Pat Kaufman.
TromaDance is the first film festival wholeheartedly devoted to filmmakers and fans. Unlike every other film festival, TromaDance does not charge filmmakers to submit their films. Entrance to all screenings is free and open to the public. Also, there are no VIP reservations or preferential treatment regarding films, panels, or parties of any kind given. The organizers of TromaDance believe films are meant to be seen, especially when it comes to new filmmakers. Art – in all its forms – is for the people! Tromadance was created in 1999 by Troma President and Creator of the Toxic Avenger, Lloyd Kaufman, based on an idea from SouthPark creator Trey Parker.
