Support of New Album Featuring Bruno Mars, Adam Levine & More

The Cab is gearing up for a wild ride with the August 23rd release of their highly anticipated sophomore effort, Symphony Soldier (Z Records). To helm Symphony Soldier, the band enlisted in-demand producer John Feldmann (Panic! At the Disco, The Used, Good Charlotte) and also collaborated with some of the hottest names in the business including Bruno Mars, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Martin Johnson of Boys Like Girls, and Grammy Award-winning songwriter/producer David Hodges (Evanescence, Kelly Clarkson). Whisper War, the band’s previous release, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top New Artist Chart in April of 2008.

Previously, Rollingstone.com remarked that “The Cab’s high energy pop is radio ready.” Alternative Press featured the band on their cover and named them one of the magazine’s “100 Bands You Need to Know” in both 2008 and 2010. The album’s first single “Bad” is already making waves at both terrestrial radio and on Sirius Hits, and the track’s video– featuring TV personality Angel Porrino–is set to debut on the album’s release date.

The Cab started out as students at Las Vegas’ Liberty High School in 2005, and developed a pop-punk and rock sensibility influenced by bands like blink-182 and The Bled, combined with an R&B flavor influenced by Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson. The Cab quickly gained an impressive fanbase through local shows, and eventually passed a demo to Spencer Smith of Panic! At The Disco. In the span of only a few months, the band found themselves inking a deal with Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen Records for their debut album. Produced by Matt Squire (Panic At The Disco, Boys Like Girls, All Time Low), Whisper War has since reached nearly 100,000 in sales. Hit track “I’ll Run” garnered over 300,000 plays on MySpace, “This City is Contagious” was featured on Season 4 of MTV’s The Hills, and “I’ll Run” was heard in the film The House Bunny.
