Our Ten Best: Television Shows on the Netflix Instant Queue

With so many high quality options on the Netflix Instant Queue, it can be difficult at times to pick out something to watch. Here’s our guide to the best television shows currently available.

10-Cheers: Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, right? With all 270 episodes on the Instant Queue, it’s never been a better time to relive some of those great memories with Sam Malone and the gang.

9- Code Monkeys:
Although the show only ran for two seasons, the style of animation, crude humor and loveable characters make it a must see.

8-Heroes: A huge hit for NBC, the show tailed off creatively after the third season. Everything before that however was excellent TV. Overall, most of the first three seasons is some of the best television writing of the last decade.

7-Futurama: One of the best animated sitcoms ever, it’s not “The Simpsons,” but with nearly every episode on the queue, it’s easy to get sucked into it. A sci-fi geeks dream come true, it’s sure to induce laughs.

6- Rescue Me:
Denis Leary work in comedy pales in comparison to his performances on this show. Unpredictable, gritty and sentimental, it’s one of the best shows ever featured on FX.

5- Lost: A great show, with a deep cast, its finale was one of the highest rated shows in television history. With every show in the series available on the queue, it’s an amazing experience to watch the mystery of the island unfold.

4-Dr. Who: BBC’s revival of the long-running series features so many great performances from Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and Matt Smith. If these names don’t ring a bell, give the show a try and find out why they are considered three amazing actors. A true shame that it is still largely unknown in America.

3-Sons of Anarchy: Fueled by a diverse cast of popular veterans and talented youngsters, this show has everything from catchy music to a story that will have you rooting for the bad guys.

2-Battlestar Galactica:
A reboot of the classic series, this show is proof that there will always be a place for science-fiction dramas on television. A huge cast, with an even bigger story, it provides some of the best thrills in television history.

1-South Park: 14 seasons of great comedy is the reason why this makes it to the top of the list. Currently, there are only a handful of shows that make the effort to put as much content on Netflix as possible and “South Park” is one of them. From the shrewd early animation to the multi-faceted comedy the show provides now, it’s amazing to see how much they’ve grown.
