It’s hard to turn on a radio station today and not hear an Adele song blasting through your speakers. Her self-written lyrics and catchy tunes have touched fans worldwide. Even those who haven’t yet jumped on the Adele bandwagon know who she is and what she’s about. Despite her powerful songs, her videos have not exactly lived up to the high standards she has set for herself.
After battling a number of health issues, Adele made her comeback performance at the 54th annual Grammy Awards earlier this month. She stole the show with her moving performance; she won every award that she was nominated for, (including record of the year.) Many people joked that instead of the Grammys, the event should have been called “The Adele Awards.”
“Someone Like You” is just one of Adele’s most successful and catchy songs. Through her lyrics she tells us her story of trying to move on and find something better. A song with such an empowering message should have a strong video to back it up. However, that’s not the case. All that viewers were given was four minutes and 45 seconds of Adele walking around on a windy day, singing her heart out. Literally, that’s all the video entails. The Grammys’ “golden girl” fell short with her video- it leaves her audience wanting more.

I have to say i never really thought about how the song would convey into video form, but I totally agree with this article. Well written
