WWE RAW Coverage: Crazy Girl-Powered

“I find you mentally unstable.” Kane, to AJ

She skips around the ring and talks to mirrors. Damn, AJ is crazy. But she’s pretty entertaining too.

While the matches on this week’s RAW weren’t exactly enthralling, the developments in the AJ angle with Kane, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan fueled the show. John Cena’s promo/Star Wars parody was fun, but his confrontation with Chris Jericho was cooler. But once Vikki Guerrero joined the party, the thing got dragged out.

Her announcement was important though. As a matter of fact, it changes the entire concept of what the Money in the Bank ladder match is supposed to be.

With Kane, Show, Cena and Jericho in the Money in the Bank match, the thing loses its real appeal. Supposed to be a bout for a newbie to get a shot at the title, this year will be a contest that features already-established stars.

Boring.

Which ironically sums up most of this episode of RAW.

Matches:

Triple Threat Elimination: Daniel Bryan vs. Kane vs. WWE Champion CM Punk: Early on, Punk was in control. AJ looked on backstage as the action heated up. Kane did the majority of the selling, but Bryan was kicked around like a test dummy at times too. Kane got back in the match with a big boot and a side slam. Punk wasn’t that easy to put away though. Soon enough, AJ did her skip around the ring, which allowed Punk t hit the GTS on Kane to eliminate him, but Bryan got in a kick in the face of his own on the champion to win the match.

Big Show vs. Brodus Clay: Show dominated, although Clay had a few moments of his own. After working on his knee for most of the match, Show was able to reverse a body slam for the win.

United States Champion Santino Marella vs. Jack Swagger: The champion was surprisingly strong as he hit a big DDT and the cobra on Swagger for the win. Just when you thought things couldn’t get worse for Swagger.

Sid Vicious vs. Heath Slater: Powerbomb for the win. Enough said.

Number One Contender’s Match for the World Title: Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler: Interesting match. When the contract fell off the pole, things got out of control- in the best way possible. But once Sheamus hit the ramp, the match ended. No contest?

Summertime Diva Beach Battle Royal: Yeah divas were in bikinis and they beat the crap out of Vikki Guerrero, but this was a joke. Of course AJ got the win in this calamity.

Chris Jericho vs. John Cena: Typical Cena match until Show got involved and caused the DQ. Show’s chokeslam on Cena was old school cool though. Regardless, it was a waste of the last ten minutes of RAW.
