The nostalgia will hit hard for those who grew up with Bomberman on the NES and SNES as the new clone Bombermine now takes the classic gameplay of the retro titles and puts it on a massive scale with 1000 players in a single online game.
The premise of the game is simple, disintegrate your fellow players with placed bombs on the ground. The longer you stay alive, the more time you have to collect powerups to make your job easier in reducing your enemies into ashes. The amount of kills you have determines your rank on the leaderboard that’s displayed at the end of the game.
Like the original Bomberman, the game’s simplicity adds to its addictiveness. Having a massively multiplayer online capability is just the icing on the cake. If you spend two minutes playing a game or two hours, you’re bound to have a good time in doing so.
