With less than a week before Wrestlemania 29, the WWE teased all of their matches in what was an entertaining, but overall uneventful episode of RAW. With a slew of promo and matches, nearly every member of the RAW roster had an opportunity to flex their muscles. Too bad most of the matches this week were with job outs or pure squashes.
Check out our weekly power rankings to see who has the most momentum going into the company’s biggest event of the year.
5: Wade Barrett: With his challenger at Wrestlemania, The Miz, at ringside, Barrett beat the crap out of Zack Ryder. After he caught the Broski Boot, Barrett came up with a monster Bull Hammer Elbow. Although he spent a bit too much time yapping with The Miz, Barrett looked confident. Although he’s far from the best worker in the company and being the most enigmatic IC champ, Barrett continues to grow as a performer every week.
4: Mark Henry: Poor Santino Marella. Henry made quick work of the former IC and United States champion with The World’s Strongest Slam. While he didn’t have the same luck With Ryback, Henry continues to be one of the most dominant performers in the company.
3: Big E. Langston: While he didn’t wrestle in an actual match, Langston made a big time impact after Dolph Ziggler’s bout with WWE Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan. In a nice show of strength, Langston slammed Bryan with his finisher and then fought off Kane and nailed him with it too. Not bad for a few minutes work. If Langston can repeat that performance at Wrestlemania, the Tag Team titles may find new owners.
2: Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter: Bring a horse to water and it’ll drink. Put a metal crutch in the hands of Swagger and Colter and they’ll hand you your arse. With Wrestlemania just a few days away, Swagger and his tea party pal have have swayed the momentum even more further their way. Now with an “injury” to deal with, how can Del Rio compete with the All-American American on Sunday?
1: Fandango: Chris Jericho has been on a massive role the past two weeks with wins over both Antonio Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler, but Fandango crushed Y2J with two beautiful Leg Drops from the top rope. Say whatever you want about his silly gimmick, but the guy has a mean streak and Kofi Kingston-esque leaping ability.
