The drama was boring, but the matches were solid this week on RAW. So good that they made us forget that we waited two hours to see Brock Lesnar destroy Triple H’s office.
Check out our weekly power rankings to see who was the most impressive out of the office and in the ring on RAW this week.
Here’s a hint. There was no dancing or yodeling.
5: Randy Orton: He keeps winning matches and the fans keep cheering during matches. Sandow is one of the most underrated workers in the company and although their match was short, Orton and Sandow put on a good opener. That considered, don’t let his lackluster match with Sheamus after Wrestlemania fool you; Orton is in line for a huge push. However, WWE Creative is still at a complete loss as to what to do with him. While feuding with The Big Show won’t hurt him, it won’t necessarily help him much either.
4: Antonio Cesaro: A massive win over Zack Ryder may not mean much, but it does give Cesaro some momentum. After the win, Cesaro cut a promo that should set him up to be the guy who gets it done in the ring, rather than with the drama. It’s a role Cesaro can definitely thrive in.
3: Alberto Del Rio: And to think, a year ago, Del Rio was one of the company’s most hated heels. Some even thought he was overrated. Now, as one of the company’s top faces, he has pay per view quality matches every time he’s out there. It helps too that he has fantastic ring partners in Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler, but Del Rio continues to make the most of his newfound role as a top face.
2: Jack Swagger: Holy high hell did Swagger make a statement in just a few minutes on RAW this week. Taking out Del Rio, Ziggler and Big E. Langston with a ladder, Swagger made sure they knew he was serious. Most of the time, a triple threat match means a lack of real competition. This time around, there just happens to be three guys who can hold the World Title. Although Ziggler wears the strap now, Swagger could easily take it away from him.
1: The Shield: These guys are unbeatable and now that they have some ring time, their dominance is even more obvious. Rollins has an awesome arsenal of high-flying offense, while Reigns is all about power. Ambrose, however is the wild card. His Diving Front Bulldog (similar to Garrett Bischoff) finisher is damn awesome. This guy is the Tully Blanchard of the group and will undoubtedly have a singles title around his waist one day.
