Daniel Bryan wrestled three times on free TV and Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Christian and Rob Van Dam added in solid performances.
Can you really ask for more?
In one of the better RAWs this year, in terms of in-ring action, the WWE absolutely delivered. While the storyline is still developing on multiple fronts, there’s plenty of room
Check out our weekly WWE Power Rankings to see who’s in the driver’s seat with just a few more weeks until Summerslam.
5: Alberto Del Rio: “Mexico’s Greatest Import” was once again stellar in the ring this week on RAW, defeating Sheamus with a sneakily executed cradle. While the World TItle lacks the prestige of the WWE title, Del Rio continues to provide “The Big Gold Belt” with the credibility it desperately needs. If only Creative could make fans care about him and Dolph Ziggler facing off for the title, then maybe things would get really spicy.
4: Christian: Three wins in a row have turned the former World Champion from being a respectable worker around just to make youngsters look good to someone who may be able to challenge for the Intercontinental or United States titles. Plain and simple, he can still perform and the fans respect him. All he needs is a decent angle with the right guy and all of a sudden, he’ll matter again.
3: Mark Henry: After he cut some top-notch promo, Henry got a little help from Jimmy and Jey Uso and all of a sudden, The Shield looked beatable for the first time in their WWE careers. This could be a fun six-man tag and with a rejuvenated Henry in the middle of it all, the matches are sure to be filled with plenty
2: Dolph Ziggler: The former World Heavyweight champion had a solid match with Darren Young this week, but the response he continues to get from the crowd makes it obvious that bigger things are tail on the horizon. With Big E. Langston and AJ Lee still pissed at him as well, he’s at least involved in an entertaining storyline that will allow him to showcase his unique blend of skills.
1: Daniel Bryan: Three matches in one night prove that Bryan is in a league of his own in this company in terms of in-ring ability. A world title run makes sense, but the world of professional wrestling is often void of things considered rational.
