WWE RAW Power Rankings: Bryan vs. The Shield

With a near pay-per-view quality card on RAW this week, several competitors made their presence felt in the ring and on the microphone.

Check out our weekly RAW Power Rankings to see who stood out the most in a crowd of solid performances.

5: AJ Lee: The Divas Champion gave her state of the division on RAW and boy, was it explosive. Separating herself from the rest of the division, Lee cut one of the best female promos in WWE history. Easily the most charismatic Diva the company has had since Lita and Trish Stratus, Lee looks primed to lead the Divas division to a much brighter future. Simply put, she’s one of a kind.

4: CM Punk: “The Best in the World” not only beat Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel in one of the best matches of the night, but he almost got his hands on Paul Heyman as well. The drama that unfolded during the segment makes sure that Punk stays a beloved face and that Heyman is one of the most hated men in the company. Although he took one of those crazy beatings no wrestler ever wants to take, the end result builds even more tension in one of the company’s most important angles.

3: Randy Orton: While the show’s opening segment was a product-placement-filled joke, Orton’s statements fuel his involvement with the McMahon/Triple H group. His match with Christian later was one of the better of the night as well. Fans may be more than split on the direction of the company with Orton as champion, but it’s hard to deny that an encounter between Orton and Daniel Bryan at Night of Champions will be a great one.

2: The Shield: With the support of Triple H, the trio continues to gain legitimacy and credibility. During his days in Hell No, Daniel Bryan brought the best out of The Shield. This week the threesome was once again on their game. Although Bryan was more successful against The Hounds of Justice than The Corporation wanted, to deny their star power and potential is ridiculous.

1: Daniel Bryan: Fun promo, three matches. What else can you ask for? Absolutely nothing. Even without a piece of metal and leather around his waist, Bryan continues to prove he is the best worker in the company today. CM Punk may be “The Best in the World,” but Bryan is the best in the WWE Universe.
