The end of the Main Event Mafia as one of the largest sticking points on this past week’s Impact, but that doesn’t mean it mattered. Behind a weak card and some meandering promo, TNA continues to waste time and lose credibility.
Check out our weekly TNA Impact Power Rankings to find out about the few stars that make this lackluster program worth watching.
Honorable Mention: Mr. Anderson: His upcoming feud with Bully Ray will be one of the few things that could be entertaining at Turning Point. Like Ray, Anderson’s character is out of options. Perhaps this feud could breath some life into both of their careers. After a year as champion and proving himself as a solid upper-tier star, Ray needs a change of scenery. Anderson, as well, could use a great match more than anybody
5: Ethan Carter III: This kid has potential, but like all the angles in TNA, it’s written like crap. EC III decimated another jobber this week, but at this point, enough is enough, let this guy really go.
4: Sting: His promo this week on Impact proved he can still talk on the mic. He’s got one more solid run left in him and with no title opportunities in the works in TNA, its every wrestling fan’s hope that he ends his career in a match with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXX.
3: Bobby Roode: His domination over Kurt Angle is giving him valuable heat. The angle between the two is one of the only entertaining singles feuds in the company and what they do in the ring is more than solid. Roode, in spite of being the company’s longest-reigning World Heavyweight Champion, is still in need of a rub. Will he get it at Turning Point?
2: Gail Kim: The longest-reigning TNA Knockouts Champion, Kim is in a league of her own. With Lei’d Tapa by her side, can anyone stop her?
1: AJ Styles: This “Friends of AJ†nonsense is just that. This feud is a disaster and is a waste of Styles and fans’ time. Styles needs to be on Impact every week and must be an integral part of the company. Like Sting, Styles would make a far better WWE mid-carder than a TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
