creativeLIVE (www.creativelive.com), the world’s largest live online education network, announced today that they have signed veteran music engineer Jesse Cannon to teach DIY Mastering — a 2 day course — this December 10-11, 2013.
Jesse, the engineer behind successful artists Animal Collective, The Misfits, The Cure and Man Overboard, will reveal his proven techniques for mastering tracks without spending years in the studio. Using real-life examples, Jesse will identify and troubleshoot basic rookie mistakes, discuss lesser-known essential concepts and share the essential behind-the-board tools that he’s learned while studying under some of the most well known audio engineers such as Ross Robinson, Steve Evetts, Alan Douches, and Dean Rispler.
All of creativeLIVE’s classes are free to watch during the live broadcast. Additionally, anyone with an Internet connection can ask Jesse questions via creativeLIVE’s chatroom and social media channels. Jesse’s course, which clocks in at 14 total learning hours, is also available to purchase for anytime access for $99.

About creativeLIVE’s Audio Channel:
Founded in 2010, creativeLIVE is transforming online learning by providing free, live access behind previously-closed doors. Venturing into music education makes sense for a company whose CEO, Mika Salmi, is responsible for discovering and signing Nine Inch Nails. Of the mid-2013 audio channel launch, Salmi said, “Music is close to my heart and we have been chomping at the bit to launch an audio channel on creativeLIVE. Just like in photography and our other channels, we will be bringing world class experts to teach real actionable skills.”
