WWE RAW Power Rankings: Not So Jolly in England

RAW was amazing for the first 25 minutes and mediocre the rest of the way. It’s kind of hard to top a Super Chokeslam through a table. The WWE didn’t even appear to try.

Although the rest of the show featured plenty of in-ring action, there wasn’t much to get excited about.

Check out our weekly RAW Power Rankings to see who heated up RAW in the UK the most this week.

5: Curtis Axel: His win over former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler this week was a huge one. A few more clean victories over established WWE superstars and Axel may start to get the credit he deserves. Even though the Intercontinental title is at its lowest point in terms of credibility in years, Axel’s win this week on RAW is a step in the right direction.

4: Randy Orton: “The Face of the WWE” was “boring” this week, well according to the British crowd. Nevertheless, he sold a ton against WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust, before he was Chokeslammed through the announce table during the show’s opening segment. After weeks of being invincible, this wasn’t a step in the wrong direction for Orton. Instead, it builds drama for Orton’s bout with Big Show at Survivor Series.

3: John Cena: One of his best matches on RAW since his return. Selling a plethora of offense from Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger, this match was one of the best matches on the card. His current feud with Alberto Del Rio may need a little more heat, but if Cena continues to turn in performances like this one, the World Heavyweight Championship is in more than capable hands.

2: CM Punk/Daniel Bryan: This makeshift tag team got the biggest pop of the night and Punk’s continued dismantling of Paul Heyman keeps that feud another possibility for him. Both superstars wrestled a solid match against The Shield and went through their signature offense. At this point, it’s obvious that they are the best two workers in the company and can make anyone they share the ring with better. So why are they in the ring with The Shield, a now proven team, instead of the Wyatt Family?

1: The Big Show: Getting his redemption on Randy Orton this week, Show continues to prove his doubters wrong. With a furor in his eyes and in solid shape, who knows what Show can do against Orton at Survivor Series.
