With the matches for TLC beginning to take shape, this RAW had a decent combination of in-ring action and drama. Even if the drama was somewhat stilted and lacked real excitement, several superstars separated themselves from the plethora of competitors on the roster this week.
Check out our WWE RAW Power Rankings to see who made this week’s episode of the WWE’s flagship program watchable in spite of continued lethargic storyline.
5: Damien Sandow: A big win over Dolph Ziggler earns the WWE’s intellectual savior a shot at Big E. Langston’s Intercontinental Championship at TLC. Could this spell the end of Langston’s run or is this merely an attempt to see if Sandow can rekindle some of the momentum he had during his World Title feud with John Cena? At this point, it’s probably a little bit of both.
4: CM Punk: He may be pretty, witty and gay, but Punk is still one of the company’s top stars. Cutting his best promo in months, Punk called Triple H a “douchebag†and got put into a handicap match against the Shield for TLC. While it doesn’t do much in terms of getting him back in the WWE title hunt, it keeps him in a feud with one of the hottest teams in the company.
3: Daniel Bryan: Even though this storyline with The Wyatt Family is a mess creatively, Bryan continues to wrestle his ass off and sell for the talented behemoths in the cult faction. His upcoming handicap match against the Wyatt’s is a bit of creative shot in the dark, but it could lead to new things for his character. Either way, the fans still adore him and regardless of the fact that he has little to work with out of the ring, his “eventual†heel turn that this feud may facilitate could be classic.
2: The Wyatt Family: Bray Wyatt is amazing on the microphone. After the dirt sheets talked smack about this angle all week, Wyatt make it all but obvious that Bryan, in due time, will join the group and be the force he never had an opportunity to be before. Luke Harper and Erik Rowan are special big men and Wyatt has a plethora of talent. If Bryan joins the group, they may become the best stable in industry today.
1: The Shield: Another win over the Big Show and the WWE Tag Team Champions, as well as the announcement of a handicap match against CM Punk at TLC make this one of the best week’s in the history of the group.
