“Our music pays very special attention to grooves that will make people bob their heads, old-school rock that stays true to it’s roots, whilst still sounding fresh. But when it comes down to it it’s rock n roll.†– Michael Nasrallah
The Brazilian Johnsons independently released their EP, Howdy Duty, last December. Featuring the hit singles ‘I Need A Miracle’ and ‘S.O.S’. the EP has already gained attention from music critics and rock fans around the world, being described as “energetic, blues-infused rockâ€.
Howdy Duty showcases five original, and well written tracks, that could act as the soundtrack to the lives of any blues lovers, or rock enthusiasts.
The Band
Brooklyn-Based, Brazilian-born band, The Brazilian Johnsons formed with the goal to create music “that got us started playing our instruments in the first place.â€Â Influenced by bands such as The Black Crowes and Lynyrd Skynyrd, with elements of 70’s psychedelia, and roots-infused blues,
The Brazilian Johnsons music tastefully honours and delivers old school rock music to their audiences.
Having played alongside the likes of Iron Maiden, Johnny Winter, Alex Winston and Chantal Claret in other bands, each member of the band is an experienced musician in their own right. Coming together to form The Brazilian Johnsons has been a fulfilling experience for the band:
“To be in the studio recording our own rock songs and not other people’s tunes was almost indescribable. Not that we mind playing other people’s music, it’s just awesome to watch your baby grow.†– Michael Nasrallah
Howdy Duty is available for download on iTunes, CDBaby and Google Play.

“The Brazilian Johnsons excel with every note and tune. Think of balladeer Stroke 9 combined with the rock-infused concoctions of Every Damn Day amidst a light psychedelic influence of Zero 7.” – Matthew Forss
