So many angles, not enough time to develop them, but more than enough time to tease them and keep us interested. Between the major angle between Dixie Carter and MVP to the continued drama between Eric Young and Abyss, TNA is more interesting than it’s been in years.
Check out this week’s TNA Power Rankings to see who has the potential to steal our attention during the company’s next event, Lockdown.
Honorable Mention: Bobby Roode: His “retirement†this past week on Impact was certainly interesting. What could be next for the former TNA Tag Team and World Heavyweight Champion?
5: Sam Shaw: This guy is super creepy, but needs more time in the ring. The same asides and vignettes are cool and his obsession with Christie Hemme is entertaining, but it’s got to culminate with something in the ring to really mean something. A feud with Mr. Anderson is a nice place to start.
4: Gunner: The vignettes before his title match with Magnus showed what Gunner has endured to get to the biggest stage in the company. His match this week on Impact proved he belongs at the top of the card. A second away from a World Title run, the crowd’s reaction to his performance was a positive one as well, which will definitely enable him another push in the future.
3: Samoa Joe: The #1 contender for TNA World Heavyweight Title, Joe made sure he kept himself busy during this week’ Impact. Dismantling the #1 contender for the X-Division Championship Zema Ion and the TNA Tag Team Champions Jessie Godderz and Robbie E , Joe continues his push towards regaining singles gold. A fan favorite and a top-notch worker, Joe’s time may be on the way.
2: MVP: With a four-on-four match for control of the company next week at Lockdown, MVP continues to shake things up. Could he become the sole owner of TNA? And if he does, how will he change the company? At any rate, his involvement, in the ring- and on the microphone, has made the show better.
1: Magnus: A few seconds away from losing the World Heavyweight title, Magnus was saved by a surprise heel turn from James Storm. Regardless of how much longer he’ll keep his title, Magnus’ run has been an entertaining one.
