A solid tease for this weekend’s Elimination Chamber pay per view, this week’s RAW set the table with every PPV matchup getting some playtime. It’s obvious that the main event for the PPV got the most attention, but the solid show-wide card made sure to showcase every single competitor.
Check out this week’s RAW Power Rankings to see who has the most momentum going into the last pay per view before Wrestlemania.
Honorable Mention: Big E. Langston: Jack Swagger and The Real Americans have had a plethora of good fortune lately, but Langston’s decimation of Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal says a lot. A young and dominant champion, Langston is ready to do whatever he has to in order to take down the former World Heavyweight Champion Swagger.
5: The Wyatt Family: Total destruction. Between Harper and Rowan’s strikes and Wyatt’s cunning and unique finisher, the Family dined on the Matadores and Sin Cara. Ready to take on The Shield at Elimination Chamber, this encounter will go down as one of the most important faction feuds of this generation.
4: The Shield: While Dean Ambrose’s unhappiness with his faltering stock is a concern, Reigns’ clean win over Mark Henry and the crowd’s response to his Superman Punch/Spear combination is enough to prove that The Shield and especially Reigns are extremely over right now. It’s unknown how long this group will stay together, but at any rate, their run has been a great one.
3: Sheamus: After being on the shelf for months with an injury, the Celtic Warrior is back and hungry for gold. His match with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton this week proves he belongs at the top of the card. Much like Daniel Bryan and John Cena, it’s doubtful he’ll win gold this Sunday, but his presence alone in the company makes for a wonderfully deep top of the card.
2: Daniel Bryan: The deck is always stacked against him, but that’s only because that’s when he’s at his best. WWE Creative knows Bryan is the best underdog in the business, so don’t be surprised that Bryan had two tough matches against Christian and Kane this week on RAW. Regardless of what shape he’s in, Bryan will get a huge pop and will use the extra emotional element to make his appearance at the Elimination Chamber a memorable one.
1: John Cena: Say what you want about Cena, but the guy wrestled his tail off this week on RAW. Fighting one of the best pure performers in the company in Antonio Cesaro, Cena was amazing. While he’s most likely not going to win at Elimination Chamber, he’s sure to make it interesting.
