NXT Coverage: Charlotte Rising, Graves Digging

A week after Arrival, new NXT Champion Adrian Neville was quick to defend his title, but Bo Dallas was just as swift to announce he’ll be invoking his rematch clause, soon.

Add in an interesting performance from Corey Graves, a nifty win from Charlotte Flair and the debut of Adam Rose and NXT managed to entertain.

NXT Champion Adrian Neville vs. Camacho: Although Camacho hit a few power moves, Neville earned the win after a Missile Dropkick and his 450 variation, the Red Arrow. After the match, he talked about how happy he is as the current NXT Champion. “This, (pointing to the NXT Title) is proof that anything is possible.”

Emma vs. Charlotte Flair w/Sasha Banks: A better match than anything on RAW from the divas lately. The two traded near falls, but Emma was in control early. After Banks distracted Emma, Flair hit the double flip Bulldog variation for the win.

Corey Graves vs. Yoshi Tatsu: Graves cut a snarling promo on Tatsu and then began to walk out on the match. Once Tatsu ran after Graves, the former NXT Champion nailed Tatsu with a Clothesline and then threw Tatsu into the steel steps. Soon enough, Tatsu was counted out, earning Graves the victory. After the decision, Graves locked in the Lucky 13 submission on Tatsu before Zayn stepped in and challenged Graves.

Adam Rose vs. Wesley Blake: Between his entrance and athleticism, Rose is an entertainer. Although Blake got in some offense, Rose was never in any trouble. After a solid Spinebuster, Rose hit the Lariat for the win.

Corey Graves vs. Sammy Zayn: Graves fought hard and kept the high-flyer off the ropes with Backbreakers, strikes and submissions. Going for his Lucky 13 submission, Zahn countered into the Blue Thunder and nearly got the win. Graves fought back some more, but went to the Backbreaker too many times. After another attempt at the move, Zayn rolled up Graves for the win.
