In just an hour, this week’s NXT threw five matches and enough storyline to keep you intrigued. TNA should take notice.
Although the NXT performers, especially the women lack the skills on the mic and many of the promos were weak, Impact Wrestling, in terms of its in-ring product isn’t as far ahead of NXT as you might think.
Compare the Corey Graves/Sami Zayn main event this week to the Bobby Roode/Davey Richards finale on Impact-Not much of a difference really.
Simply put, NXT may lack production values and polish, but it’s still worthy wrestling show.
Check out this week’s NXT Power rankings to see which one of the NXT’s performers could become the future stars of the company.
Honorable Mention: Charlotte Flair: Wow, what a nasty, self righteous…Ric Flair’s daughter is not only beautiful, but she’s tall as hell and talented in the ring. Her finisher, a flipping Bulldog-like maneuvers she simply riding her papa’s coattails? Or she the future NXT Women’s Champion?
5: Bo Dallas: The former NXT Champion isn’t done talking. Evil, but charming, Dallas promised new champion Adrian Neville and all his Bo-lievers that he was going to cash in his rematch opportunity, soon.
4: Paige: Much like Adrian Neville, the NXT Women’s Champion isn’t scared to take on anyone, but she may have bit off more than she can chew with a possible encounter with Charlotte Flair.
3: Corey Graves: The former NXT Tag Team Champion was pissed he wasn’t a part of NXT Arrival and took out his frustration on Yoshi Tatsu. With plenty of charisma and an awesome submission finisher, Graves is cut out of a mold many fans of Daniel Bryan and CM Punk will like. Simply put, expect to see the “The Savior of Misbehavior†in the WWE one day.
2: Sami Zayn: One of the best workers in NXT, Zayn is WWE ready, now. His match with Antonio Cesaro at Arrival proved it and his bout with Corey Graves this week did it again. Simply put, he’s in a league of his own in NXT. Whether as this persona or his El Generico gimmick, this kid deserves a shot at the WWE.
1: Adrian Neville: The small-town crazy elf man was victorious in his first NXT Championship title defense this week against Camcho. He also cut an honest promo, telling the world he’s ready to take on anyone. Armed with an amazing finisher and a great look, Neville will hold on to that title for a while.
