Talk about falling off the deep end. TNA appeared to be gathering quite a bit of steam a few months ago when MVP arrived. Now, with his new faction running over the company, The Beautiful People dominating the Knockouts Division and The Menagerie already a force after just two weeks, Impact Wrestling continues to drown in its own blood.
Who wants to watch this anymore? Was there even a decent match this week? Was there a clean win, with no antics, interference or nonsense?
Why is Frank Kazarian scared of clowns?
Too many questions and not enough answers on this show.
The fact that the swerve at the end of the show elicited zero response from the crowd should be an indication of where this show is going.
It doesn’t matter that they have a hard-working and deserving champion either. TNA is in serious trouble and it may be so bad that a new writing staff won’t be able to fix the problem.
Matches:
Magnus and Bram vs. Willow: Although Magnus and Bram dominated, Willow was always a signature move away from the win. After Bram threw in a crowbar for Magnus, the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion showed some hesitation in using the weapon. That moment of hesitation allowed Willow to reverse Magnus signature Suplex into a Rollup for the win.
Gail Kim vs. Velvet Sky w/Knockouts Champion Angelina Love: With Love running her mouth before the match, Sky got the upper-hand. Although she almost won with a DDT, Sky got her finisher reversed got nailed with Kim’s Eat Defeat for the loss. After the three-count, Love took out Kim with the Knockout Title.
Kazarian vs. Crazy Steve w/Knux, Rebel and The Freak: The faction’s entrance musk never stopped and Steve even top rope Splashed some balloons. Steve eventually pants the referee and got the match thrown out, while Rebel did another split. Poor Kazarian.
Tigre Uno vs. X-Division Champion Sanada vs. Zema Ion: This was a wild one full of high-flying offense. After Ion threw Uno out of the ring, Sanada hit Ion with the top rope Brain Chop and finished him off with a nice Tiger Suplex.
Mr. Anderson vs. James Storm: A decent back and back encounter where Storm was in control throughout. After Anderson kicked out of a running DDT, Storm went for the Beer bottle bash, but Anderson reversed the move into the Mic Check. Before Anderson could perform the move, Storm sprayed the beer in Anderson’s eye and finished him off with the Last Call Super Kick.
MVP vs. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young: After Brian Hebner awarded Young the win after Kenny King hit Young with his finisher, MVP ordered the match to continue. Soon enough, Bobby Lashley hit the ring and nailed Young with a Spear and a monster Powerslam through some steel chairs.
